Churchyard Working Party

On Saturday 23rd October between 10am and 12 noon we are holding a working party in St Owen’s churchyard. Lots of autumn jobs such as cutting back, weeding and tidying are needed to keep the churchyard looking good for winter. Drinks and refreshments provided. Please bring your own tools if possible. All ages are welcome to come along and help!

Light Party- An alternative to Hallowe’en

On Sunday 31st October we are holding a Benefice Light Party frlom 4.30 – 6.30pm in St Owen’s, Bromham. There will be activities, games and fun for all ages and we will be including a light tea. Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate Jesus the Light of the World. The Launch of Wild Church!

On Sunday 7th November at the Scout site in Bromham we are launching a new joint initiative with Christ Church in Bedford called Wild Church! All are welcome to come along 4.30pm – 5.30pm for outdoor activities and worship whatever the weather. Bring your woollies and raincoats!

Remembrance Sunday 14th November 2021

All three churches will be offering services or Acts of Remembrance this year:

9.45am St Mary’s Oakley followed by an Act of Remembrance at the village War Memorial at 11am
10.30am St Owen’s Bromham including an Act of Remembrance in the church
10.45am War Memorial in St Leonard’s churchyard Stagsden

Christmas Tree Lighting at St Mary’s Oakley

On Saturday 27th November 2021 at 5pm St Mary’s will host its popular Christmas Tree Lighting event in the churchyard. All are welcome from the village (and beyond) and refreshments will be available!
