St Owen’s church has been a place of worship for the village of Bromham since the thirteenth century. In early records it was referred to as St Andrew’s Church, and no one knows why it became St Owen’s, nor exactly when, although it was most likely during the 18th century; it is however the only church dedicated to St Owen on the British mainland.
We are excited that our extension, providing toilets, a kitchen and a meeting room, is now open and it is already proving to be a valuable resource. The fundraising for this project has been undertaken by the Friends of St Owen’s (FoSO) who support the church in many ways – visit their website for more information: FoSO .
Services are shared each Sunday between our three churches and we worship as one community travelling to each church. Or you can always join us online for our live steamed Zoom services on most Sundays at 10.30am: visit the Services page for the links and joining information.
We have a pipe organ, a robed choir, who sing together with the choir from St Mary’s, and a peal of 8 bells, which all contribute to our welcome and worship. More details can be found on the appropriate pages on Activities.

St Owen’s has close links with our Church School, Bromham Primary School, and enjoys visits from the children when possible. Our Vicar Catherine is a Governor and enjoys going to school to lead Collective Worship.
There are various social activities including Friendship Lunches, coffee mornings, and a churchyard gardening group – see the Social page; there is also a Bromham Prayer group which meets on a Thursday morning (see the Faith page).
